Capella Cora | What is this place?

I had initiated but I didn’t have a new name yet. For some reason I thought I needed to have a new name, a magical name, since I had now initiated as a Witch; something that revealed to people who I truly am. That’s when I discovered the name Capella through a consultation with the almighty Google (super spiritual).

I learned that Capella is the name of a star, the sixth brightest star in the northern hemisphere and it meant “Little She Goat”. Goat is a longtime spiritual ally of mine and Capricorn is my zodiac [tropical] sign. Six was a number that carried numerological significance for me at the time. Goldenstar is a Harry Potter professor name given to me by my witchcraft teacher and Capella is often referred to as “the golden star”. Astronomy, astrology, and star lore are passions of mine and all of these synchronicities seemed to align to point out to me that Capella is the name I should take to mark this significant milestone in my life; of completing a year and a day training and self-initiating as a Witch into the first level of spiritual awakening. Capella, I’ve recently learned, also means “Chapel” when you add another “p”.

Cora is a name that I have recently chosen to mark the second major initiatory period I’m moving through currently. It means “heart”. So, in combination with Capella, my name means “chapel heart”. Also, the star Capella is the same star that is called “Heart of Brahma”, so there’s another interesting synchronicity.

All-in-all, my spiritual name reminds me that my sacred work is heart work, which is the work of knowing and accepting all of who I am, and helping others do the same.

The heart of a chapel is the spiritual center and focal point of worship. Your heart is your spiritual center and focal point of your life. It’s your internal GPS system directing you throughout your life journey. When you focus on that, all the pieces come together effortlessly, even miraculously, and you feel like you are finally “on your path”.

Capella Cora is the altar of my sacred work. It’s my heart GPS helping me find other people who are ready to connect with their heart GPS to find their path and fulfill their life’s sacred work.
